Welcome to the April edition of the Indigo Healthy Value Newsletter.
It’s Our Birthday
We will be celebrating our 1st birthday on Saturday, 25th April 2009. What a year it has been! The response we have had from Moseley residents and those who live further afield has been amazing. We are in the process of arranging how we will be celebrating and I will send a further email in the week before the 25th to tell you all what we will be doing. I have written an article for Birmingham 13 about my experiences of setting up and running Indigo over the last year. If you haven’t read it yet, Birmingham 13 is available in the shop priced at 90p.
Easter
We are open as normal throughout Easter, with the exception of Easter Saturday, 11th April when we will close at 6.00pm as opposed to 6.30pm. We still have organic and/or fairtrade Easter Eggs left, so don’t forget to buy them during the next week.
Indigo and Fair Trade
Indigo is committed to fair trade and helping to support producers in the third world achieve a fair price for the commodities they sell. We sell over 100 fair trade products and choose fair trade items over others that may just be organic. Jane regularly attends meetings of the Birmingham Fair Trade Association (FAB) and has recently been appointed as a committee member. In this role Jane has an influence in how Birmingham Fair Trade City Status is managed and promoted. You can get more details about FAB by visiting their website at www.fairtradebirmingham.org.uk.

Free Recipe Book for All
We are still giving away a free recipe book. If you haven’t already downloaded yours you may do so by clicking here. The book comes in e-book form, so is available to anyone with an internet connection or an email address.

Healthy Value Gold Recipe Library
The new recipe library for Health Value Gold customers is now online and ready to be accessed. Gold customers will receive a separate email containing their log in details. The recipe library is a collection of over 75 e-recipe books containing over 8,000 recipes.
Healthy Value Discount Card
This week, we learnt that at least one of our customers is using the discount card as a means of saving for Christmas. When you have completed your discount card, you are entitled to a £5 discount on your shopping. We assumed that customers would want to take their discount on their next purchase, however, there is no reason why the completed cards cannot be saved for another occasion in this case Christmas. If you would prefer to save your discount, please tell the member of staff when we offer you your discount.
