Welcome to the March edition of the Indigo Healthy Value Newsletter.
Indigo and Fair Trade
It’s fair trade fortnight and there is lots happening. On Friday, 6th March, we have a stall in the Edwardian Tea Room at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery where we will be promoting fair trade and taking part in the Fairtrade Foundation’s Go Bananas world record attempt to get as many people as possible to eat a fair trade banana in a 24 hour period. During this event we will be giving away a free sample bag of fair trade products every time someone spends just £1 at our stall.
Indigo is committed to fair trade and helping to support producers in the third world achieve a fair price for the commodities they sell. As such we sell over 100 fair trade products and choose fair trade items over others that may just be organic. Jane regularly attends meetings of the Birmingham Fair Trade Association (FAB) and our involvement with this organisation is increasing. Free Recipe Book for All
I am pleased to be able to announce the launch of our brand new promotion. We are now able to give away a free recipe book, Introducing Indigo Vegetarian Recipe Book. It is aimed primarily at those who are new to Indigo, but new to Indigo or not the recipes still taste nice. Healthy Value Gold Changes
Over the next few weeks I am producing a members area on the website that will house an e-recipe book library of over 75 books (thats over 8000 recipes) for the exclusive use of gold customers. As a result of this we will be withdrawing the monthly prize for the biggest saver each month, this will run until April 9th and because of the nature of the new product we will also be withdrawing the 30 day guarantee for new gold customers. I am hoping to extend the members area with more promotions over the months to come.
