Over the last two years I have worked to build a wholefood shop that is second to none.  

 

The shop is full from floor to ceiling of the finest organic, natural and environmentally friendly products the health food industry has to offer.

When I am asked about my aims and ambitions for Indigo Wholefoods, I always say “I’m building the best Whole Foods store in Birmingham.”

 

If you live or work in, or travel through Birmingham and are interested in finding the best whole foods, fair-trade foods, vegetarian and vegan foods, gluten free foods, no added sugar foods, organic foods, ethical body-care products, eco-friendly cleaning products, alternative remedies or nutritional supplements at prices that represent value for money, then you need look no further than Indigo Wholefoods.

 

The Indigo Wholefoods shop is located in the Moseley area of Birmingham, well known for its independent specialist shops, businesses and monthly farmers market on the fourth Saturday of every month. We are open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6.30pm. Open late every night for people on their way home from work.  We are also open on Sundays 11.00am - 5.00pm.

We have several specialist ranges not widely available in Birmingham.

Ecover Refill Station: almost unique to Birmingham, we offer the full range of Ecover Refills, Washing Up Liquid (2 varieties), Laundry Liquid, Fabric Softener and All Purpose Cleaner.  Ecover are the nations favourite eco-friendly household cleaning product manufacturer.

 

Local Honey: believed to benefit hayfever sufferers.  We have a consistent and reliable supply of local honey from Four Counties Honey, based in Pelsall, just north of Birmingham.

 

We have experienced, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

 

George Howell: that’s me, the person you are most likely to meet when you visit the store.  I was a founding member of the Sage Wholefoods (Moseley) Ltd co-operative and ran Sage between 1997 and 2006.  I have studied Homeopathy and believe whole-heartedly in alternative medicine, and natural and organic products.  I can answer your questions on any product.  If I don’t know the answer I will find out as quickly as possible.  I am usually at Indigo on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
